We Got The Funk

Did we get the funk last Sunday? We certainly did. People brought the funk and we got the funk. There was a fair few Fatback Band, the Players were very much in Association and the dance floor was full before anyone’s Mam was due to call them in for tea. Aside from sounding our funky horns we got the usual smorgasbord of punk in all its forms, psyche, soul, reggae, ska and garage of the rock variety… even a smattering of hip hop. Many bases (basses?) were touched from A to Z – from Adam and his Ants going on about photocopiers to Zappa bemoaning the output of TV. An afternoon both edifying and funky:
